Nemesis was suspected to have crash landed in the peaceful Staffordshire countryside thousands of years ago. Buried in the soil she remained un-noticed lying dormant as human civilisation began to form around her. Until the medieval period when people began worshipping her, they started offering themselves as human sacrifices by chanting an incantation which would summon the creature. After she began to become more and more unknown with evidence of her getting lost in time, she began to rest once again.
The 1990's then rolled around and the peaceful countryside she hid below is now transformed into a theme park called Alton Towers. Thunder Valley was full of thrilling rides such as the thunder looper, attracting families and thrill seekers all year round. One day workers were surveying the land as Alton towers were looking for its newest attraction as thunder looper was scheduled to go, when a talisman was discovered in the soil, which unlocked an ancient book they found alongside it, this book contained details of the cultish following of Nemesis. The disturbance of the ground awoke Nemesis waking her from her millennia long sleep fuelled with unbridled anger, ripping the ground apart as she emerged to the surface, Thunder valley was no longer safe and was renamed to Forbidden Valley.

Depending on who you ask one source (The comic released on Nemesis' opening day) claims the Phalanx were a group of extraterrestrial warriors sent back to earth to stop Nemesis and save the Earth, however other sources which based off recent events detail how Phalanx were a secret millitary orginisation who came to Nemesis as soon as they heard and were the once who came up with the idea of trapping Nemesis in 250 tonnes of steel (the rollercoaster track), it didn't look good for the Phalanx as the steel that pinned her down began to become bent and twisted as the alien fought against it. They must've not known of Nemesis' other power either as billions of Alton Towers guests were still lured to the site to ride the intense rollercoaster in 1994. The Phalanx continued to survey the site of 17 years until they came across a cave system containing a nest underground full of Nemesis eggs during routine excavation.
After further excavation, the Phalanx upgraded their security level to category 1. Knowing the public had big interest in Nemesis, Phalanx spokesperson announced that they would open their newly recommissioned Phalanx research facility to the public, allowing them to see what they called 'the core', an alien egg. Thousands of people flocked to travel underground to witness the offspring of a creature not of this dimension. This became 'Nemesis : Sub-terra'. However, The Phalanx's claims of the Aliens being undercontol werent all solid as after the viewing seats dropped to give the public a glace at a cavern further below than where they had just been, absolutely infested with eggs, when a few of the eggs seemed to hatch and attack the viewers, the guests had to be evacuated and Sub-Terra was closed in 2015. It seemed that The Phalanx hadn't learnt their lesson as they decided to re-open Sub-Terra as they upgraded their equipment around the Nemesis creature, and during the opening ceremony Phalanx operatives were seen running out the building collapsing to the ground as smoke came out while alarm sirens rang.
6th Nov 2022 The Nemesis was seeming to show increased aggressive behaviour and was no longer safe to be around. Hazmat suited Phalanx operatives were seen attempting to control the situation, taking samples from Nemesis in order to find out what has changed, the Phalanx also replaced the old steel track to ensure she wouldn't escape. Tranquilisers wouldn't work, there was no calming her down or taming her. Phalanx took DNA samples from herself and her eggs which enraged her further, Nemesis retaliated killing two Phalanx Operatives. Despite this, the operation continued.
Once again billions of guests came to see Nemesis, many of these guests were part of a protest group called 'Seek the Truth' who had been reporting and researching the Phalanx's cold treatment of Nemesis, constantly uploading footage of their evidence for all to see, taking to the streets of Forbidden valley chanting 'Nemesis has feelings too, what would you do if it were you?' aiming to expose the Phalanx and take them down.

As of 2025, with the opening of the new topspin flat ride, Toxicator, we learn that the Phalanx have also been extracting Nemesis saliva called 'Waspirium'. This chemical is used within the Toxicator and is sprayed on guests. It is yet to be revealed why the Phalanx are doing this and with constant warnings from the Toxicator that it is unstable, perhaps the SeekTheTruthers are right? Additionally its interesting to note that SeekTheTruthers are no where to be seen in the 2025 season so far which can only make you think what has gone on behind our backs.
14th March 2023 a Phalanx security guard, Percy, mysteriously disappeared.. It's said that Nemesis herself was so hungry and starved that she took the opportunity to feast on him and that his brain was in so much shock that as a coping mechanism for the amount of pure pain he was in, his brain made him hallucinate that he was having a fun time on the rollercoaster, the only evidence of him left was his two beloved air pods that he dropped.
This marked the moment that Nemesis made it known that, she was back, with a vengeance.
2024 scarefest featured a scaremaze called 'compound' in which theme park guests/volunteers were encouraged by the phalanx to take part in a DNA experiment. The phalanx aimed to see if Nemesis DNA and human DNA would be compatible and in doing so create superhuman Nemesite/human weapons. It is to be assumed the experiment was a success as within compound there is a human nemesite which chases you down, as well as at the end of the scaremaze it is to be assumed that you, the participant also has Nemesite DNA inside you.
